Therapy for young adults in Maryland

You are trying. Adulthood just has an alarming number of sidequests.

College. Work. Job hunting. Bills. Appointments. Relationships. The cost of existing. Laundry that completed the washing quest but may never make it into a drawer. Somehow, you are also supposed to plan a future while the world changes every five minutes.

Some days you can accomplish enormous things. Other days, your brain will not start something you genuinely want or need to do. That doesn't mean you are lazy, irresponsible, or failing at adulthood. It means you are carrying a lot, and the usual instructions may not work for your brain.

You can look capable and still be struggling.

Holding It Together
Inconsistent Access

Some days you can do everything. Other days, the simplest task feels impossible to start. That inconsistency can make you question your effort, even when you are trying incredibly hard.

You are getting to work and paying bills, so others assume you are fine. Inside, you are running on caffeine and pure willpower, waiting for the moment everything inevitably feels like too much.

The Comparison Trap

It looks like everyone else received a manual for adulthood that you missed. You are measuring your internal struggle against everyone else’s external highlight reel.

You do not need to have adulthood figured out before asking for help.

The Quest Log is a short first step. Tell me a little about what you are experiencing, in whatever words you have right now.
